Bill Horrigan, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by members of his loving family on March 2, 2026, at home. Bill was active in various organizations on Cape Cod. His passion for skiing led him to join the Cape Cod Ski club from which he met many great friends that enjoyed not only ski trips throughout New England but also kayaking and hiking around Cape Cod. Bill was also passionate about the environment on the Cape and would spend late fall every year rescuing stranded sea turtles on the beaches of Cape Cod Bay. Bill also was certified as a volunteer for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) where he assisted in dolphin and whale strandings on the Cape.

Dottie Lovely, 77, of Etowah, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on January 26, 2026, following a brave battle with cancer. In 1966, Dottie married the love of her life, Robert Lovely Jr. The two met while attending Bishop Feehan High School and went on to share 42 happy and devoted years together. Dottie was a resident of Cape Cod for 45 years before relocating to NC in 2016. During her time on Cape Cod, she owned and operated a cake decorating business, specializing in wedding cakes. She was a true artist with a wide range of talents and hobbies, including woodworking, painting, and stained glass. Dottie also embraced life’s adventures, enjoying skiing including serving as the Club Membership Chair for many years, whitewater rafting, and even skydiving.

Clem Smith, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Clem/Vaughn was an avid runner, skier (Club member for many years) and sailor who stayed very active well into his late 80s. He owned several sailboats over the years and was particularly proud of the 20-ft Luger he successfully built.
He cruised extensively with Franny and other family members in Cape Cod Bay and to many ports-of-call including Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Cuttyhunk, and Block Island. Oftentimes, some of their children joined them as well.
Al Sloan, 75, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2025. Al was often referred to as “PerpetuAL” by his sons for his constant desire to be active. He enjoyed walking the dog with Janice, skiing with grandchildren, golfing with friends, planning his next big vacation, and meticulously detailing his Porsche. Al also meticulously looked after his family. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend and fellow Ski Club member, Janice. More than anything, Al liked to spend time with family and friends.
